Assuming that your unknown proteins A and B are average, how many amino acid residues do each PROTEIN (not band) contain? (4 points)
Below is a photo of the class gel. Remember the protein standard in Lane 1 is used to establish the relationship between MW and distance. The standard is purchased from a company and the bands are proteins of known size. A standard is always run alongside the samples because without it we would not know anything about the actual size of the proteins in the other lanes. 1. Identify one house keeping protein in the tissue sample, draw a circle around it and label it. Identify one luxury protein, draw a box around it and label it. If you cannot draw on the figure due to the requirement for electronic submission you can describe the location of each band (eg. A luxury protein can be seen in LANE 24 just below the 150 kDa band)
