Okay, so i did a quick google search and looked up some kidney diseases, and this is one that i found interesting.
00:06
So it's called glomerululoneephytis.
00:09
And basically what happens is so we know that the start of your kidney here, let's just draw a picture, you have what's called this bowman's capsule.
00:21
And here you have this membrane that allows just water and ions to pass it.
00:27
And in glomerolial nephritis, what happens is that you get holes in your membrane, which makes the filtration of this malfunction.
00:39
So not only are you getting water through it, but you can also run the risk of potentially getting, let's just say, your ions, which are good, but you also run the risk of getting, for example, proteins into your nephron, which is not something you're going to want in your nephron.
00:58
So there's a couple of things that put you at risk for glomeral nephritis.
01:08
And basically, causes can be infections.
01:13
So anything that is in your immune system can cause overactive immune systems.
01:23
And your immune system can also lead to damages in your glomerales because it's overworking the filtration.
01:32
So then also you, like exposure to certain environmental toxins can also do this because your glomerase is going to have to work really hard to filter things like that and they can cause damages in your filtration because they might be extremely toxic and just do damage themselves.
01:54
And then also things like cancer.
01:56
So if you have, if you run the risk of you have like an immune disorder or you get sick a lot or you like work in a place that has a lot of pollution, you might end up with this disease.
02:09
Now, some of the symptoms, so there's two types of it.
02:11
There's acute and chronic.
02:14
And generally, what happens is that there's going to be large effects on your urine.
02:19
So dark colored urine, and this is because your filtration is not working properly...
